Fairfax County Youth MOVE (FCYM) hosting the Bridging Minds Art Gallery to show case your work about your experiences with mental health struggles and recovery.
We want to showcase your art!
We ask that you submit a picture of your art or a copy of your writing (google docs, pdfs, etc are accepted). Each year, we print these pictures onto foam board and display them at an art gallery event and include written pieces in a booklett that people can read at the event or at home. A selection of the submissions are also included in a book that gets sent to stakeholders like Fairfax County Board of Supervisor Members.
We can accept the following types of art:
- Pictures of physical art - we cannot accept physical paintings or drawings or sculptures but will display the pictures you submit
- Digital art
- Photography
- Videos (could be of dances, songs, digital movies, etc).
- Written work (e.g. poems, stories, memoirs, etc)
If you have questions, please contact YouthAdvisoryCouncil@jssa.org.
It takes FCYM a really long time to prepare for each show- the art gallery will be at the end of April. We will identify the location and date ASAP. You will be notified via email about the event happening. Also follow our instagram @fcyouthmove to stay up to date about the event. Thank you for your contribution and your patience.
PLEASE NOTE: This gallery will be open to the community and people of all ages. If your work includes graphic depictions of violence or self harm, it will be placed in a special content warning room.
